Dumpster Gang's Steam page has been live since before the demo, and it is a Windows-only listing. There is no macOS or Linux build, and the page does not offer one. The game releases there on December 3, 2026.
The demo is already on the same storefront and has been since October 19, 2026. It is a separate app listing, so both can sit in a library at the same time.
What the store page says today
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows |
| Release date | December 3, 2026 |
| Price | Not listed, wishlist button only |
| Controller | Full controller support |
| Family sharing | Supported |
| Subtitle languages | 10, including English, Japanese, Russian and Simplified Chinese |
| Demo | Separate free listing |
The absence of a price is the field people ask about most. A wishlist button means the store has no price in its database, not that the price is hidden. When it is set, the purchase box replaces the wishlist prompt.

What the tags tell you about the game
Steam's user tags are a fair summary of what Dumpster Gang is: Co-op, Online Co-Op, Sandbox, Physics, 3D Platformer, Loot, Comedy, Cute, Exploration, Funny, Multiplayer, Singleplayer, Character Customization, Action, Adventure, Casual, Simulation and 3D.
Two of those deserve emphasis. Physics is the design, not a garnish: the game is built around loose objects and four players colliding with them. Singleplayer is real too, not a checkbox — the missions scale down and the Exterminator still hunts one raccoon.
Steam Deck status
No compatibility rating has been published for Dumpster Gang. Valve assigns those after a build is playable end to end, and the game is not out yet.
What the store data does show is a Windows build with modest stated requirements and full controller support, which is the profile of a game that usually lands at least Playable. That is a prediction, not a rating, and the rating will appear on the store page when it exists.
Multiplayer on Steam
Co-op runs through Steam's own online layer, for one to four players. Nothing has been announced about Steam-specific features such as Remote Play Together, and the game is not described as supporting split screen.
If you are planning to play with friends who own the game on another storefront, that is a crossplay question rather than a Steam feature, and it has not been answered.
Steam features worth knowing
Family sharing is supported, which means a household can share one library across machines, subject to Steam's usual rule that only one person plays a shared library at a time. For two people in one house wanting to play together, that rule is the limit: two simultaneous sessions need two copies.
Full controller support means the game is designed to be played on a pad, not just tolerant of one. Prompts switch to the controller layout rather than showing keyboard keys.
Ten subtitle languages ship with the interface, and audio is English only. For a Russian or Japanese player, that means reading rather than listening, which matters in a game where the Exterminator's approach is often signalled by sound.
The demo and the full game are separate entries. Installing the demo does not reserve a copy and does not pre-load the release.
How the page will change on release day
The Steam page has three states left to pass through, and each one is visible.
First, the price appears in the purchase box, replacing the wishlist prompt. Second, the release countdown replaces the date. Third, on December 3 the button becomes a download for anyone who bought it, and the game separates from the demo as its own library entry.
Anyone watching for a discount should watch the first state, not the third. Launch discounts are set with the price, and a page that shows a price with no discount is telling you there is not one.
Reviews appear after launch, not before. There is no pre-release review embargo to read into, and the demo's score is the only player signal that exists until December.
What to check before you buy
Your hardware. The stated minimum is a GTX 1050 or RX 550 with 8 GB of system RAM. That is a low bar by current standards, and the demo runs on the same build family, so the demo is the cheapest benchmark available.
Your language. Ten interface and subtitle languages ship with the game. Audio is English only, which matters if someone in your group needs a dub rather than subtitles.
Your friends' platform. Steam players can play with Steam players. Anything beyond that depends on crossplay, which is unannounced.
Wishlist first
With no price and no pre-order, a wishlist entry is the only thing that produces a notification when the store page changes. It costs nothing and it is reversible.
The short version
Steam is the December 3 platform, Windows only, with a free demo already live, full controller support, ten subtitle languages and no price yet. The Deck rating does not exist, and any page that quotes one is quoting a different game.
The community hub is the one place where demo feedback and release feedback will mix, which makes it useful now and noisy later.
